"The Moving Wall" is the original half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for more than twenty years.
This was the first time Garden Grove will host The Moving Wall; it was also its only Orange County visit this year (2011).
The Moving Wall was open from Thursday, October 6 - Monday, October 10, 2011. Beginning at 12 p.m. on October 6, visitors can view the wall 24-hours a day and pay tribute to the over 58,000 men and women who sacrificed their lives for their Country.
In addition to the wall, a temporary Educational Center was created to educate visitors on the longest and costliest war in history. The Educational Center included photos, videos, displays, memorabilia donated by community members, and a special dedication to "GG's41" - the 41 men from Garden Grove who are listed on the wall.
Along with the wall and Educational Center, there was a resource fair for veterans and static displays - all in honor of our Vietnam fallen.
