Welcome to our site...
For many Americans, Vietnamese, and others, the war in Vietnam was the defining event in their lives. It was a conflict that divided families and brought violence both to Vietnam and to the United States.
At its peak, over half a million U.S. military personnel were serving in Vietnam and the surrounding countries. For more than thirty years, those who fought the war, their friends and families, have been misunderstood and misrepresented.
Garden Grove is home to thousands of refugees and immigrants that came to the United States after the war and has since become the oldest, largest and most prominent Little Saigon in the United States; it is the ideal site for the National Vietnam War Museum. When completed, the National Vietnam War Museum will offer an educational environment where people from all over the world can come to remember, experience and understand.
